The following outdoor activities are specifically designed for adults who want to discover more about the natural environment and learn traditional skills.

Bushcraft                            ref.ad08                                                                     
Spend a day with with experienced Go Wild Woodland Activity Leaders and learn how to make a shelter, build a fire, and cook traditional backwoods food on a wood fire.

Learn all about fire lighting without matches under expert supervision. Use flint & steel and bow drill to light your fire.
Learn how to safely use a knife,* saw, and axe.
Learn how to make feather stick kindling for your fire.
Once your fire is lit let's make some twisters and learn backwoods cooking skills.
Build a shelter from natural materials where you can eat your meal with your friends.
Learn traditional outdoor skills.
Find out about our 'Leave No Trace' policy and how to conserve our natural environment.

Discover the types of native tree in your local area. Learn how to identify trees from their leaves, flowers, twigs, and bark.

Tree recognition trails will be run on a regular basis and in all seasons.  Keep an eye on the Go Wild Dynamic Outdoors Facebook page for details or contact us to register your interest.

A women-only event.

Follow in the footsteps of ancestors and discover traditional bushcraft skills.  Build your own shelter and spend a night outdoors.  After learning how to create fire using traditional methods (no matches or lighter fuel!), discover backwoods cooking skills such as bread-making, or how to cook a salmon on a wood fire.
Learn traditional skills in the use of cutting tools* to make useful gadgets for your shelter.
