Our Woodland Activity leaders are trained Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition supervisors and have experience of preparing young people to achieve their DofE Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. We appreciate how important it is to properly prepare young people for expeditions. For some, this may be their first adventure outdoors, or the first time that they have wild camped. Go Wild can provide sessions on all of the sections of the Expedition Training Framework and assist you in complying with DofE 20 conditions for an expedition. Contact Go Wild to discuss.
Sessions include any, or all of the following: - First aid and emergency procedures - Risk and health & safety - Navigation and route planning - Preparatory map skills - Practical map skills - Compass skills - Campcraft, equipment and hygiene - Food and cooking - Countryside, highway and water sports safety codes - Observation, recording, and presentations - Teambuilding - Proficiency in mode of travel
